IT Security Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold IT Audit and Risk assessments for various departments.

• Analyze the effects of changes before and after implementation to ensure the enhancement of our security posture.

• Promote awareness of controls and policies to foster compliance throughout the organization.

• Create training materials and collaborate with vendors on information security training and awareness programs.

• Distribute necessary security communications organization-wide as required.

• Gather evidence for audit and compliance purposes.

• Support the evaluation of the security posture of third-party vendors and suppliers.

• Address and manage reported security incidents.

• Document and monitor incidents reported in SIEM and other platforms.

• Assist in the accurate classification and assessment of risk items.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or Information Systems.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT security domain.

• Solid understanding of basic Python programming and best practices.

• Familiarity with TRM or similar regulatory frameworks.

• Knowledge of industry standards pertinent to IT Controls – ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP, and Cloud Security.

• Proficient in using Splunk SIEM; experience with CASB/XDR tools is advantageous.

• Security-related certifications are beneficial: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, and/or CISA.
