IT Security Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the organization's networks to identify security breaches and conduct investigations when incidents occur.

• Utilize and maintain software applications, including firewalls and data encryption tools, to safeguard sensitive data.

• Assess computer and network systems for vulnerabilities.

• Stay updated on the latest trends in information technology (IT) security.

• Create reports that detail overall metrics, attempted breaches, and security incidents.

• Establish security standards and best practices for the organization.

• Suggest security improvements to management or senior IT personnel.

• Assist computer users with the installation and understanding of new security products and protocols.

• Contribute to SOC 2 Certifications.

• Proven experience in risk management, compliance, and the development of information security policies.

• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities, both verbal and written.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals and groups.

• Familiarity with IT processes and controls, alongside a robust understanding of risk and control frameworks, including CoBIT, ISO, NIST, ITIL, and PCI.

• Basic knowledge of information security regulatory requirements and standards such as ISO 27001/2.
