IT Governance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and continuously enhance IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards.

• Enforce and oversee compliance with IT regulations, procedures, and requirements throughout all teams.

• Offer expert advice on IT process design and initiatives aimed at ongoing improvement.

• Establish KPIs to measure governance effectiveness, monitor performance, and promote data-driven decision-making.

• Create and conduct training programs focused on governance policies, compliance requirements, and best practices.

• Direct the preparation for both internal and external audits, ensuring precise documentation and prompt follow-up on findings.

• Serve as a proactive, trusted advisor to leadership teams, facilitating communication among business, IT, and compliance functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of professional experience in IT governance, risk management, compliance, or similar roles within complex organizations.

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

• A demonstrated history of the ability and enthusiasm to lead and empower diverse teams while unlocking the potential of each individual.

• In-depth knowledge of frameworks and standards such as COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL, TOGAF, and associated regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience in crafting, implementing, and sustaining governance policies and controls.

• Strong capability to evaluate risks, analyze data, and devise effective mitigation strategies.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with strong influencing capabilities at all levels; fluency in English is required, with additional languages viewed as advantageous.

• Willingness to travel internationally on occasion, up to 20% of the time.
