This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the creation and management of a suite of solutions in the areas of data, reporting, predictive intelligence, and data science.
• Offer architectural guidance and direction to data engineering teams.
• Convert business challenges, requests, and requirements into well-defined data solutions.
• Document the data platform to effectively illustrate and communicate how business capabilities are achieved or supported through technology and processes.
• Formulate strategies, roadmaps, principles, standards, and best practices for the data platform.
• Create Proof of Concepts (PoCs) as needed.
• Assist engineering teams in implementing strategies, roadmaps, principles, standards, and best practices for the data platform.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to engineering and delivery teams.
• Evaluate industry, technology, and market trends to introduce best practice frameworks and capability models aimed at controlling costs, enhancing quality, and increasing the predictability of service delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Seven years of experience in an architectural role or a relevant combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of seven years of experience in data architecture or a similar technical field with significant design involvement.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data ecosystems, Big Data paradigms, Cloud Service Providers, business intelligence solutions, data integration patterns, typical data warehousing patterns, retrospective reporting, predictive analytics, and exploratory analytics frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of contemporary data and platform delivery practices across one or more recognized paradigms (data fabric, data mesh, data warehouse, data lake house, data lake, etc.).
• Expert-level knowledge across a wide array of data delivery and hosting platforms (RDBMS, NoSQL tools, data warehouses, data query tools, data visualization tools, persistent data models, integration platforms, etc.).
• Profound understanding of data engineering fundamentals, the implementation of modern data platforms, and data modeling characteristics.
• Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT service management, and one or more architectural frameworks.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, or equivalent platforms.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (Reltio, Informatica, or similar) is a plus.
