IT Applications – Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• You will be accountable for IT solutions that facilitate a wider global business process domain.

• For the assigned domain, you will develop and maintain a strategy, vision, roadmap, project portfolio, including budget and resources.

• Conduct research on emerging technologies, design solutions, and oversee compliance with these initiatives.

• Assume leadership roles in designated projects.

• Collaborate with customers to comprehend requirements, identify various architectural domains essential for solution definitions, and coordinate efforts with them.

• Engage with executives to pinpoint long-term needs, grasp the business process architecture, and translate those requirements into solutions.

• Lead, guide, and shape the O-I IT strategic direction for assigned projects.

• Coordinate and align with technology domain architects and the business for developing solutions architecture in accordance with target architecture(s).

• Maintain the global strategic vision for assigned projects.

• Define specific solutions for projects or applications along with detailed solution specifications.

• Design efficient change readiness approaches for both existing and new technologies.

• Work to leverage existing solutions to avoid redundant solution creation and reduce overlap of duplicate functionalities.

• Establish a realistic, cost-constrained, and resource-constrained roadmap with a three-year outlook for the assigned technical domain.

• Oversee the global project portfolio for assigned projects and intervene as necessary to ensure adherence to the planned roadmap, budget restrictions, resource limitations, and established standards.

• Participate in critical project design reviews as part of the methodology process to ensure that solution designs comply with enterprise architecture guidelines.

• Monitor regulatory guidelines to assess their impact on enterprise architecture and provide recommendations for compliance.

• Lead testing efforts for promising technologies to evaluate their relevance in our environment.

• Supervise the work of global delivery teams to ensure alignment with established standards and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent work experience.

• At least 10 years of relevant IT and/or business experience is required.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a global organization, including experience with multi-country or global implementations, is required.

• At least 7 years of experience using structured methodologies for strategy, process, design, implementation, and control is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing projects and/or people is preferred.

• Highly effective communicator with the ability to influence and make an impact throughout the organization.

• Proven ability to execute, design, and implement enterprise-level architectural solutions.

• Demonstrated capability to deliver projects on time, with high quality, and within budget.

• Ability to plan the complete life cycle of technological solutions.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.

• Desirable experience or a solid understanding of DevOps, Angular or React frameworks, Azure functions, databases, Dockers, and Kubernetes.

• Experience in architecting cloud IoT, event-driven, and microservices in the cloud.

• Familiarity with either functional or technical usage of SAP modules and components.

• Technical knowledge of Windows or Unix/Linux operating systems and major database platforms such as SQL Server.

• Working knowledge of information security principles and practices.

• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Azure, SCCM, and Intune.

• Experience with Active Directory is also a plus.
