This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• You will be accountable for IT solutions that enhance a wider global business process domain.
• For the designated domain, you will develop and uphold a strategy, vision, roadmap, project portfolio, including budget and resources.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies, design solutions, and ensure compliance with these initiatives.
• Assume leadership roles in projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with customers to ascertain requirements.
• Identify the various architectural domains necessary for participating in the definition of solutions and coordinate efforts with them to translate those requirements into technical solutions.
• Engage with executives within the business to recognize long-term needs, comprehend the business processes architecture, and relay those requirements to the solutions.
• Lead, direct, and cultivate the O-I IT strategic direction for assigned projects.
• Coordinate and align with technology domain architects and the business for the development of solutions architecture that aligns with target architectures.
• Secure buy-in and the necessary level of participation from business areas and Technology Domain Architects right from the outset of the projects.
• Maintain the global strategic vision for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with leadership to provide recommendations on effective staffing and long-term support models.
• Define tangible solutions for a project or application.
• Create detailed solution specifications that align with solution sketches.
• Design effective change readiness strategies for both existing and new technologies.
• Lead the formulation of technical standards and guidelines related to the assigned projects, incorporating input from around the globe.
• Oversee the global project portfolio for the assigned project. Intervene when necessary to ensure adherence to planned roadmaps, budget limitations, resource constraints, and established standards.
• Monitor regulatory guidelines to evaluate their impact on enterprise architecture and make compliance recommendations.
• Track emerging technologies and provide recommendations for updates to our established standards.
• Lead testing for promising technologies to assess their applicability in our environment.
• Supervise the work of global delivery teams to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with teams to make necessary adjustments when required.
• Escalate issues when necessary. Work with customers to clarify requirements and translate those into technical solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant IT and/or business experience required.
• At least 7 years of experience working within a global organization, including multi-country or global implementation experience required.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience utilizing structured methodologies for strategy, process, design, implementation, and control preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience managing projects and/or personnel preferred.
• Highly effective communicator capable of influencing and making an impact across the organization.
• Proven ability to execute, design, and implement enterprise-level architectural solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, with high quality, and within budget.
• Capacity to plan the complete life cycle of technological solutions.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Preferred experience or strong understanding of DevOps, Angular or React frameworks, Azure functions, databases, Dockers, and Kubernetes.
• Experience architecting cloud IoT, event-driven, and microservices in the cloud.
• Familiarity with either functional or technical use of SAP modules and components.
• Technical knowledge of Windows or Unix/Linux operating systems and major database platforms such as SQL Server.
• Working knowledge of information security principles and practices.
• Working familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Azure, SCCM, and Intune. Active Directory experience is also advantageous.
