ISO 27001 SME, Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, execution, and upkeep of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in alignment with ISO 27001 standards.

• Perform risk assessments and formulate risk treatment strategies to alleviate information security threats.

• Organize and execute internal audits to guarantee ongoing adherence to ISO 27001 and prepare the organization for external evaluations.

• Create and implement training initiatives to enhance awareness of information security policies and procedures throughout the organization.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of information security into all business processes and projects.

• Keep documentation of the ISMS current, including policies, procedures, and audit records.

• Monitor and provide reports on the performance of the ISMS, including relevant metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Remain updated on the latest advancements in information security and ISO 27001 standards to foster continuous enhancement of the ISMS.

• Offer expert advice and support to the organization on all aspects pertaining to ISO 27001 and information security.

• Work in conjunction with external auditors and regulatory agencies as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in information security management, specifically with a focus on ISO 27001.

• Comprehensive understanding of ISO 27001 standards and best practices in information security management.

• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and overseeing risk treatment strategies.

• Strong project management capabilities with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective training and education of employees on information security practices.

• Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to keep abreast of the latest industry trends and advancements in information security.
