This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Lead a high-performing team of offensive security researchers while fostering professional development and team well-being through regular video check-ins.
• Ensure regular and transparent communication by providing weekly and event-driven status updates that highlight achievements, challenges, team needs, and research progress.
• Cultivate a collaborative and supportive team atmosphere by promoting documentation, knowledge sharing, and technical presentations.
• Organize and facilitate engaging weekly team calls focused on resource sharing, brainstorming research directions, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Mentor junior researchers and new hires to support effective onboarding, continuous learning, and ongoing professional development.
• Manage technical recruitment efforts, including interviewing and assessing candidates.
• Conduct performance evaluations, offer feedback, and communicate results to leadership.
• Plan and oversee the team’s budget, which includes travel, training, and conference expenses.
• Attend leadership meetings and coordinate cross-team initiatives to align team objectives with organizational goals.
• Supervise and guide the identification, analysis, and exploitation of vulnerabilities in modern operating systems, kernel components, and complex software environments.
• Direct research efforts in reverse engineering, proof-of-concept exploit development, and bypassing advanced security measures.
• Establish technical priorities for the team, balancing ongoing research objectives with exploration of new attack surfaces and technologies.
• Ensure research remains relevant by keeping pace with evolving attack techniques, mitigations, and emerging technologies.
• Promote the dissemination and publication of significant research and adaptive strategies in response to industry-wide software and security updates.
• Proven experience in leading or mentoring technical teams in offensive security or vulnerability research.
• Extensive background in iOS vulnerability research and exploitation on contemporary devices and chipsets.
• Strong knowledge of recent iOS mitigations, including Pointer Authentication Codes (PAC), Secure Page Table Monitor (SPTM), and Memory Integrity Extension (MIE), among others.
• Advanced proficiency in vulnerability discovery, reverse engineering, and exploit development within the iOS operating system or platform.
• Strong programming capabilities, particularly in C, C++, and low-level assembly.
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools for reverse engineering and debugging.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and team-building abilities.
• Proven track record of impactful security research, including advisories, assigned CVEs, or technical publications.
