iOS Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate across functions by partnering with product teams, design, and engineering colleagues to implement product and business strategies while creating innovative products and features that resonate with users.

• Engage in the entire development process: from technical design and development to testing, experimentation, analysis, and deployment. You will review code and design documents, providing feedback on product specifications and mock-ups.

• Join a team of dedicated, agile, and driven engineers. Contribute to the establishment of standards that enhance developer workflows, suggest best practices, and mentor team members to help them advance their technical skills.

• Engage in continuous learning and development of both technical and non-technical skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3+ years of professional software development experience, post-internship, working on user-facing iOS mobile native applications at scale, utilizing Swift.

• Knowledge of software engineering best practices including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, design documentation, CI/CD, A/B testing, code reviews, and comprehensive documentation.

• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and maintain project timelines.

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with teams in a fully remote setting and articulating complex subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent practical, hands-on experience.

• A passion for building new solutions and thriving in ambiguous situations, including learning from failures, with a strong focus on innovation.

• Experience in software development with one or more general-purpose programming languages; expertise in Swift is required, along with familiarity in Java, Python, Go, Rust, or C++.

• Additional knowledge of GraphQL, REST, HTTP fundamentals, and the ability to design maintainable APIs is advantageous.
