This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Comprehend customer requirements and deliver wealth and investment-related sales and services to BMO customers or prospects.
• Counsel customers on wealth and investment strategies and products that align with their goals.
• Execute sales and service tasks in line with established procedures.
• Recognize and refer customers to other business units as necessary.
• Conduct outbound calls and proactively seek opportunities to enhance the customer experience with appropriate investment products.
• Stay informed about consumer needs, industry trends, best practices, and regulatory obligations.
• Provide professional sales and service for inquiries, issues, and requests from customers and prospects.
• Investigate to understand unique investment requirements and advise customers accordingly.
• Meet sales goals focused on pertinent investment products.
• Manage transactional outcomes or escalate matters to the relevant internal business groups.
• Elevate complex or unresolved customer issues to senior management.
• Complete necessary documentation post customer interactions.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of investment markets, practices, and trends and incorporate this into customer discussions.
• Integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer dialogues when appropriate.
• Ensure the confidentiality of customer and Bank information.
• Detect and report suspicious activities related to money laundering.
• Comply with regulatory and compliance requirements, including AML/ATF, FCAC, and Privacy Act provisions.
• Handle complex and diverse tasks, including escalations from colleagues.
• Analyze issues and determine subsequent steps.
• Undertake broader responsibilities or accountabilities as assigned.
• Generally, 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• A post-secondary degree in a related field is desirable, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• A high school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Awareness of competitive marketplace trends and product offerings.
• Familiarity with BMO Investment and BMO InvestorLine products and services.
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) / CIRO licensing as an Investment Representative is preferred.
• The Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE) and Derivatives Exam must be completed within a designated timeframe to function fully.
• Understanding of Risk Management and Compliance.
• Specialized knowledge required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in French and English is essential to support clients and team members inside and outside Quebec.
