Investment Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Identify, assess, and secure mobile applications and complementary SaaS ventures — create models, manage processes, and assist in making informed investment decisions.

• Collaborate directly with founders, analyze their data, and develop a solid case for investment in conjunction with our CIO, guiding us on capital deployment.

• Source potential deals, conduct meetings with founders, oversee comprehensive deal processes, work cross-functionally with our product, growth, and monetization teams, and influence how we evaluate partnership and acquisition opportunities.

• Construct and rigorously evaluate investment cases — transform complex data into clear insights regarding value, risk, and structure.

• Enhance our modeling capabilities and templates — refine cohort models, valuation tools, scenario analyses, and outputs suitable for investment committee review.

• Maintain a streamlined process — manage timelines, drive decision-making forward, and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a buy-side role with practical deal experience.

• Familiarity with mobile applications — you possess an understanding of the app ecosystem, key performance indicators (MAU, DAU, retention curves, ARPU, LTV, CAC), and the operational dynamics of mobile businesses.

• Outstanding financial modeling abilities — you've constructed models from the ground up, rather than merely modifying existing ones.

• Solid grounding in accounting and finance principles — you grasp the interconnections of the three financial statements and are comfortable with working capital adjustments, EV-to-equity conversions, and purchase price mechanics.

• Founder-facing demeanor — you quickly establish trust, pose insightful questions, and can lead discussions with composure and assurance.

• Self-assured, yet humble — you hold strong opinions, adjust them rapidly in light of new information, and maintain productive dialogue.

• Action-oriented with sound judgment — you act swiftly when necessary, but recognize when thoroughness and precision take precedence over speed.

• Highly analytical — you enjoy delving into data, identifying trends, and rigorously testing assumptions. Numbers are the foundation of your conviction.

• Effective communicator — you can distill complexity, write clearly, and present confidently.
