📋 Description

• Collect information on significant US and global topics for coverage by the Editorial team.

• Develop original and often unconventional ideas that set Simply Wall St apart from traditional financial news.

• React swiftly to US market events, earnings reports, and urgent matters during US hours.

• Serve as the US voice during hours that matter for stories relevant to a US audience.

• Write articles for Editorial or B2B that address investing insights, company and economic news, financial products, and more.

• Contribute to The Foxhole, Market Insights, custom articles, and emails.

• Publish an average of one Market Insights article every three weeks, in addition to other timely pieces.

• Incorporate Simply Wall St community assets, including Narratives and Company Reports, into the content.

• Enhance content through SEO and GEO strategies to optimize impressions, clicks, click-through rates, and registrations.

• Create engaging, high-converting copy for campaigns, products, partners, and brands.

• Assist the Senior Investment Editor with content initiatives and production.

• Collaborate flexibly with teams across the organization as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of experience writing about markets, investing, or finance, preferably for a consumer or investor audience.

• Strong fluency in the US market, including the US news cycle, earnings seasons, and factors influencing US stocks.

• Experienced stock investor with a solid understanding of fundamental analysis, portfolio management, and long-term investing.

• Broad knowledge across various industries and markets.

• Exceptional written English with a relatable, personal tone.

• Comfortable utilizing AI tools for research and content creation.

• Strong and rapid writing capabilities under tight deadlines.

• Ability to uncover original and often contrarian perspectives.

• Skill in translating complex investing concepts into engaging and accessible writing.

• Proficient in SEO and GEO practices.

• Capable of self-editing and reliable with minimal oversight.

• Skilled in conversion copywriting.

• Proactive, self-motivated work style.

• Comfortable working remotely and primarily asynchronously as part of a globally distributed team.

• Availability during US hours and aligned with a US time zone.
