This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create investigation plans customized to align with each client’s policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Execute prompt and impartial investigations into allegations related to Title IX, Title VII, Title VI, ADA, Section 504, and other civil rights matters.
• Collect and assess documentation, digital records, physical evidence, and other pertinent materials.
• Conduct trauma-informed and culturally sensitive interviews with complainants, respondents, witnesses, and other involved parties.
• Analyze intricate fact patterns and consolidate evidence.
• Draft clear and well-structured investigative reports that support fair, evidence-based resolutions.
• Ensure investigations adhere to federal and state laws as well as civil rights best practices.
• Work in collaboration with Title IX Coordinators, Human Resources, Equal Opportunity, Legal Counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in client training sessions focused on civil rights compliance, investigations, and related subjects.
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential case records.
• Stay informed on legal developments and integrate updates into practice and client advisement.
• Aid in policy formulation, strategic advising, content creation, and internal training.
• Perform additional duties that support TNG’s mission and client service model.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience managing civil rights cases, which includes investigations, response coordination, decision-making, or appeals.
• Experience dealing with Title IX, Title VII, Title VI, ADA, and/or Section 504 allegations within K–12, higher education, or employment environments.
• Graduate degree in education, law, public policy, human resources, social work, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of federal civil rights laws and investigatory protocols.
• Familiarity with Title IX regulations and grievance procedures, as well as working knowledge of Title VII, Title VI, ADA, and Section 504.
• Capability to conduct prompt, thorough, trauma-informed interviews and investigations on sensitive topics.
• Outstanding written communication skills with the ability to produce investigative reports, executive summaries, and essential documentation.
• Competence in presenting material and leading training sessions for institutional stakeholders and leadership.
• Strong client service orientation with a talent for fostering collaborative client relationships.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple complex investigations and adhering to deadlines.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking abilities.
• Cultural competence along with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed practices.
• Flexibility to adapt to ambiguity, new information, and evolving circumstances.
• Professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, secure file-sharing platforms, case management systems, and virtual meeting technologies.
• Reliable, high-speed internet connection and capability to utilize virtual collaboration tools.
• Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends as necessitated by deadlines or urgent matters.
