Intermediate Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Evaluate requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to confirm testability and completeness.

• Create and implement test cases and regression testing plans.

• Conduct manual testing across web, API, backend, and mobile platforms.

• Verify end-to-end workflows, system integrations, and data accuracy.

• Identify, document, track, and revalidate software defects.

• Collaborate with development and product teams to troubleshoot issues and confirm resolutions.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and release processes.

• Keep organized test documentation, evidence, and quality metrics.

• Contribute to enhancements in QA processes and automation testing initiatives.

• Clearly communicate testing outcomes, quality risks, and release readiness to stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

• Experience with testing web applications, REST APIs, and mobile apps.

• Extensive manual testing experience, including functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.

• Skills in creating test cases and converting requirements into effective test coverage.

• Practical experience with API testing tools like Postman.

• Strong grasp of software testing methodologies, test design, and defect management.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent test management tools.

• Experience in conducting browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.

• Background in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and capability for cross-functional collaboration.

• Proactive and self-driven approach with a solid sense of ownership and accountability.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work independently.

• Experience with test automation tools like Playwright, Selenium, or Appium (Desirable).

• Experience validating data in SQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB (Desirable).

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release processes (Desirable).

• Experience testing microservices, asynchronous flows, and event-driven architectures (Desirable).

• Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools (Desirable).

• Knowledge of accessibility, usability, and performance testing principles (Desirable).

• Experience testing enterprise SaaS applications with intricate integrations and distributed architectures (Desirable).

• Background with compliance, operational, or data-intensive platforms (Desirable).
