Integration Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Engage in all stages of linking EHR systems to NC HealthConnex.

• Provide assistance to healthcare providers during their technical implementation to the state's health information exchange.

• Collaborate with the NC HIEA, technical partners, participants, and their EHR vendors.

• Aid in gathering integration and interface requirements, as well as in designing data mapping and transformations.

• Assess the EHR interface to ensure it meets or surpasses data quality standards.

• Offer personalized support to specific healthcare providers to inform them about the technical requirements for connecting to the state-designated HIE.

• Work together with the NC HIEA outreach and provider relations team, SAS, participants, and EHR vendors to incorporate clinical data feeds into defined Data Targets.

• Ensure that data feeds comply with Data Quality standards.

• Analyze issues of low to medium complexity related to integrated systems.

• Develop and maintain documentation, issue tickets, etc., following established standards.

• Coordinate efforts with project team members.

• Suggest enhancements for operational processes or workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• US Citizenship is mandatory.

• A fingerprint background check is required.

• Experience in managing customer relationships within the health IT sector.

• Familiarity with HL7 V.2 messages and Continuity of Care Documents (CCD).

• Understanding of interfacing with various applications, management information systems, data structures, systems analysis and design, as well as programming languages.

• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare regulatory compliance concerning Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Health Information Exchange (HIE).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, including Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• 3-4 years of experience as an interface specialist in the health information technology domain.
