This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
β’ Collaborate closely with the entire PIC team on a diverse range of projects, including silicon photonics, III-V device designs, simulation, foundry process development, production tapeout, PIC testing, and production support.
β’ Accountable for the design, simulation, layout, and testing of photonic components and circuits.
β’ Work alongside the millimeter wave design team, packaging team, and module hardware/software/optics testing team to develop comprehensive products.
β’ Bachelor's degree with over 12 years of experience, a Master's degree with more than 6 years, or a Ph.D. with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience in optical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics, or related disciplines.
β’ Proven experience in solid-state physics, integrated photonics, and opto-electronics.
β’ Demonstrated proficiency in photonics numerical simulation principles and tools, including FDTD, HFSS, COMSOL, etc.
β’ Verified experience in the process and fabrication of photonic devices.
β’ Experienced in photonic device layout and tapeout.
β’ Preferred: Prior experience with photonic device layout and tapeout.
β’ Preferred: Experience in hybrid integration of various material systems.
β’ Preferred: Background in photonic devices utilizing thin-film lithium niobate.
β’ Preferred: Experience in designing, simulating, and testing high-speed electronic or optical devices.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with photonic component testing.
β’ Preferred: Experience with large-scale photonic circuit tape-outs in commercial foundries.
