This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Assess the requests submitted through the Comagine Health Provider Portal to ensure they are accurate and complete.

• Evaluate cases for necessary medical information based on the type of request, deciding if the information is adequate for clinical review.

• Retrieve clinical information from client systems when necessary or reach out to providers to gather the information required for evaluation.

• Utilize training to determine when a scripted review is necessary according to contract stipulations.

• Process requests following clinical reviewers or managers to guarantee that the language and determination details are thorough before dispatching letters to providers.

• Handle incoming telephone inquiries with precise documentation in the care management system regarding the calls.

• Input case information from original source documents or verify the information entered by providers in the portal.

• Conduct courtesy calls with case reference numbers.

• Notify relevant parties of the completed review and any additional information required, when applicable.

• Assist in the orientation and training of other non-clinical staff members.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and/or work experience in a related field may be accepted.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work or customer service experience.

• At least 1 year of experience in the healthcare sector.

• Preference for post-secondary education or certification in a related discipline.

• 2 years of experience in healthcare, including roles as a nursing assistant or medical assistant.

• Intermediate knowledge of medical terminology.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite at an intermediate level.
