Insurance Specialist, Hospital and Profee AR Follow Up

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Address unpaid or denied claims utilizing proprietary software, phone communications, written correspondence, client systems, and insurance carrier web portals.

• Manage Hospital and Professional Fee claims.

• Examine UB04 claim forms, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and medical records to determine appropriate claim resolution actions.

• Stay informed about client preferences and known issues.

• Achieve monthly production and quality goals.

• Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Operate at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours daily while managing interruptions.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of one year of experience in physician and/or hospital Accounts Receivable (AR) is preferred.

• Familiarity with UB04 claim forms, EOBs, and medical records is preferred.

• At least one year of experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or other Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is preferred.

• Proficient in basic computer operations.

• Capability to work efficiently in a remote setting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Fundamental mathematics skills, including addition, subtraction, and percentage calculations.

• Ability to analyze and interpret documents, contracts, notes, and various correspondence.

• Capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.

• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Experience with Professional Fee and Hospital-Based Claims.

• EPIC experience is advantageous.

• Ability to comply with HIPAA privacy regulations.

• Capability to work at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours daily.

• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
