Insurance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Address unpaid or denied claims utilizing proprietary software, phone communications, written correspondence, client systems, and insurance carrier web portals.

• Examine UB04 claim forms, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and medical records to ascertain appropriate claim-resolution actions.

• Stay informed about client preferences and recognized issues.

• Achieve monthly production and quality standards.

• Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.

• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in physician and/or hospital accounts receivable follow-up is required.

• Familiarity with UB04 claim forms, EOBs, and medical records is preferred.

• At least one year of experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or other Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is preferred.

• Understanding of basic computer functions.

• Capability to work efficiently in a remote setting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and percentage calculations.

• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting documents, contracts, notes, and other communications.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-paced environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Capacity to work at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours daily.

• Ability to occasionally lift and transport materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
