Insurance Product Development & Coverage Analysis Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage the creation of new insurance products, which includes drafting coverage language and offering innovative coverage solutions tailored to the specific requirements of the niche industry served by Medmarc.

• Provide daily coverage analysis and consultation to bolster underwriting and account management initiatives.

• Design and present educational materials centered around Medmarc's policy forms and coverage terms.

• Collaborate with the Legal Department and the relevant functional area responsible for state filings to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and ethical market practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is mandatory, with a strong preference for candidates holding a juris doctor (JD).

• At least five years of experience in a casualty insurance setting, including roles in insurance defense or coverage consultation at a law firm.

• CPCU, AIC, or ARM designations are highly preferred.

• Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and crafting coverage language.

• A proven self-starter with exceptional relationship management skills, capable of establishing productive partnerships with insurance producers and agencies.

• Ability to develop, nurture, and enhance strong relationships with internal colleagues across various departments within the business unit and ProAssurance.

• Exceptional analytical, negotiation, marketing, and sales capabilities.

• Outstanding listening, speaking, writing, and presentation abilities.

• Able to meet work deadlines while exhibiting excellent desk management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
