This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
β’ Develop and maintain SQL queries within BigQuery and SQL Server to facilitate ongoing analysis and respond to ad hoc business inquiries.
β’ Create and manage Power BI dashboards that monitor essential insurance KPIs such as quotes, binds, retention, premium, and business mix.
β’ Conduct descriptive and diagnostic analyses to uncover trends, drivers, and anomalies within the insurance portfolio.
β’ Assist in evaluating product modifications through cohort analysis, pre/post assessments, and trend evaluations to measure business impact.
β’ Support competitive intelligence efforts by collecting, organizing, and summarizing competitor information to guide pricing and product strategy.
β’ Maintain data accuracy and integrity through quality assurance checks, reconciliations, and comprehensive documentation of methodologies and data sources.
β’ Operate independently on intricate, cross-functional challenges with mid-term (12+ month) consequences, proactively identifying issues and opportunities.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
β’ Over 3 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year in personal lines insurance in roles related to data analysis, actuarial science, product analytics, or similar fields.
β’ Proficient in SQL with practical experience in BigQuery and/or SQL Server.
β’ Advanced skills in building and managing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
β’ Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, with a strong focus on detail.
β’ Proven ability to tackle complex issues with mid-term or wider cross-functional impacts.
β’ Self-motivated individual with a history of working independently and proactively addressing problems before they escalate.
β’ Preferred: Proficiency in Python or R for analytical or automation tasks.
β’ Familiarity with AI tools to enhance research and analysis efficiency.
