This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accurately manage assigned insurance accounts receivable with efficiency and a strong sense of accountability.
• Actively follow up on pending claims and insurance denials to ensure prompt resolution.
• Research, prepare, submit, and monitor insurance appeals, including continuous follow-up on appeals.
• Effectively communicate with insurance representatives to address claim issues and secure payments.
• Utilize robust organizational and time-management skills to prioritize daily tasks and meet deadlines.
• Analyze managed care contracts, including fee schedules and allowable amounts, to aid in collection efforts.
• Interact confidently with non-participating providers and adhere to payer guidelines.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the insurance collection process and consistently apply best practices.
• Identify and resolve issues independently, exercising sound judgment and keen attention to detail.
• High school diploma or GED certification is required.
• Strong understanding of medical billing processes, insurance guidelines, and the insurance appeals lifecycle.
• Previous experience in healthcare insurance collections, ideally in an ambulatory or clinical environment.
• Proficient in using computers and Windows-based software applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
• Ability to collaborate professionally and effectively with teammates, patients, and external partners.
• Customer-oriented mindset capable of representing the company positively to patients, insurance providers, and the general public.
• A minimum internet download speed of 50Mbps is necessary to effectively operate SIS Systems.
