• Respond to customer inquiries through phone and email while managing routine insurance tasks in the Agency Management System.
• Address customer questions and concerns with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency.
• Escalate communications to the relevant resources when necessary.
• Assist Sr. Specialists and Account Managers by proactively resolving service-related issues.
• Collaborate with offshore Service Delivery Teams on client projects and provide constructive feedback to those teams.
• Operate client systems independently and handle routine insurance tasks such as endorsements, certificates of insurance, application follow-ups, and quoting.
• Record work in the client and company database.
• Establish relationships with clients and insured parties to aid in client retention and revenue expansion.
• Consult with team members on tasks and requests from insured clients.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Offer recommendations to the OPEX team and SDU Leadership.
• Assist in maintaining procedures, service level objectives, and guidelines.
• Adhere to established procedures to fulfill quality SLAs while upholding security policies and standards.
• Train new Account Specialists on fundamental tasks and procedures.
• Provide guidance and instruction as necessary to new employees.
• Review and audit the work of new hires.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to address client needs and contribute to the achievement of internal team objectives.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Property and Casualty License is highly preferred.
• Professional experience in customer service is required.
• 2-3 years of insurance experience is preferred, encompassing personal lines, commercial lines, life & health, and employee benefits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
• Process-oriented with a keen attention to detail.
• Technological proficiency, with the ability to learn, utilize, and navigate various client and internal systems.
