This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +14 more states.
• Assist in the development of insurance plan designs, encompassing benefits, cost-sharing, and network frameworks.
• Transform strategic objectives and regulatory mandates into comprehensive, actionable benefit configurations.
• Ensure that plan designs are accurately represented across internal systems and in regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with actuarial, regulatory, and compliance teams to affirm benefit structures and cost-sharing agreements.
• Facilitate the execution of the product lifecycle from design to filing, implementation, and launch readiness.
• Uphold structured operating rhythms throughout design and filing cycles, ensuring that timelines, dependencies, and deliverables are consistently achieved.
• Enhance process optimization and standardization across markets to boost scalability, minimize defects, and accelerate time to market.
• Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives within product design and filing workflows, pinpointing inefficiencies and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Conduct quality assurance across plan designs, filings, and system configurations to guarantee accuracy and compliance.
• Recognize and escalate inconsistencies or risks in design and execution.
• Coordinate with partners to ensure precise delivery of plans.
• Assist in market, competitive, and regulatory analyses to guide plan design choices.
• Aid in monitoring plan performance and identifying opportunities for improvement post-launch.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, economics, finance, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in health insurance products, ACA benefit design, regulatory filings, or equivalent roles.
• Experience in operations following structured processes related to product development and regulatory filing, with the ability to suggest process enhancements for scaling and optimization.
• Familiarity with the ACA and small group plan design, including cost-sharing structures, metal tiers, and essential health benefits.
• Background in supporting regulatory filings and/or working with filing artifacts (e.g., PBTs, SOBs, SBCs).
• Strong attention to detail with a track record of managing complex benefit configurations across systems and documentation.
• Proven experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments (e.g., actuarial, finance, regulatory, network, and operations).
• Demonstrated capability to analyze data and support decisions regarding design and execution.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
