Instructional Designer, Training Content Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Design and develop concise visual training modules tailored for frontline operational teams.

• Transform SOPs, workflows, and operational processes into captivating micro-learning content.

• Produce video trainings, screen recordings, animated explainers, quizzes, and scenario-based learning modules.

• Create practical Do / Don’t examples to clearly communicate expectations to employees.

• Construct training content utilizing tools such as Articulate, Rise, Vyond, Camtasia, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.

• Leverage AI tools to assist with storyboarding, scriptwriting, voiceovers, quiz creation, and content production.

• Ensure training consistency, adherence to branding standards, and version control across all materials.

• Collaborate with operational leaders and members of the Learning & Development team to enhance training quality.

• Revise training content based on feedback, audit findings, employee performance issues, or identified operational gaps.

• Independently manage assigned deadlines and production schedules.

• Upload or organize finalized modules in the LMS, Microsoft SharePoint, or other internal systems as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in instructional design, eLearning, training content development, multimedia learning production, or related fields.

• A robust portfolio showcasing examples of visual learning content, video trainings, eLearning modules, screen recordings, or training materials.

• Experience in developing training for frontline employees, healthcare teams, retail, hospitality, customer service, operations, or in fast-paced work environments is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to distill complex information into concise, engaging, and practical content.

• Strong attention to detail and capability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Comfortable managing deadlines, incorporating feedback, making revisions, and producing high volumes of content.

• Experience collaborating remotely with U.S.-based teams is preferred.

• Expertise with some or all of the following tools and software is strongly preferred: Articulate 360, Rise, Camtasia, Vyond, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, LMS platforms, Microsoft SharePoint, and AI productivity tools for scripting, storyboarding, voiceovers, quizzes, and training development.
