This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Travel extensively, 100% of the time, to customer sites within designated regions (air and/or road travel required).
• Install indoor Bluetooth beacons using 3M adhesive and adhere to specific placement guidelines to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize an iPad or mobile device to plan installation layouts, register beacons and gateways, and finalize digital workflows/documentation.
• Install outdoor beacons and associated hardware, including mounting equipment, in various environmental conditions.
• Safely operate ladders and manage installation tools, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and site requirements.
• Diagnose basic hardware issues and confirm the functionality of beacons and gateways post-installation.
• Effectively communicate with customers, onsite contacts, and internal teams regarding project updates and any encountered issues.
• Test, validate, and ensure the functionality of installed hardware, software, and systems to guarantee optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with installation standards before project completion.
• Willingness and ability to travel 100%, including occasional last-minute trips.
• Proficient in using technology such as iPads, mobile applications, and digital documentation tools.
• Background in hardware installation, field service work, low-voltage wiring, or related hands-on technical roles (preferred but not mandatory).
• Capable of meeting the physical demands of the role, including climbing ladders, lifting and carrying installation equipment, standing and walking for extended periods (up to 9 hours daily), navigating large school campuses, and working in diverse indoor and outdoor settings, including warm weather conditions. Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Excellent professional communication and customer service skills.
• At least 1 year of experience in troubleshooting software, hardware, and networking issues.
• Over 1 year of experience in a customer-oriented role.
• Familiarity with IoT devices or systems design is advantageous.
• Experience working in highly regulated settings (e.g., schools, healthcare, government).
• Ability to follow detailed written installation instructions or diagrams accurately.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
