Innovation Director, Clinical Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of a portfolio of innovative opportunities, ensuring alignment, coherence, and prioritization with strategic and commercial goals.

• Drive the identification, shaping, prioritization, and advancement of opportunities, maintaining a focus on the most valuable initiatives.

• Direct portfolio prioritization and investment trade-offs, balancing the development of emerging opportunities with the scaling of validated concepts.

• Contribute to governance, portfolio assessments, and investment decision-making processes across the innovation arena.

• Manage the creation and communication of the enterprise innovation narrative, ensuring a clear, consistent, and engaging story for internal stakeholders, clients, partners, and external industry audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• An advanced degree (MBA, MS) is preferred.

• Prior experience in leading innovation, transformation, strategy, product discovery, or technology-driven business initiatives (equivalent to over 10 years’ experience).

• Experience in managing large-scale or enterprise-level portfolios, strategic initiatives, or cross-functional innovation programs.

• Proven track record in shaping and advancing high-impact innovation opportunities through structured discovery, validation, and transition processes.

• Ability to influence senior and executive stakeholders within matrixed organizations.

• Strong leadership background in cross-functional business, digital, data, and technology environments.

• Solid commercial insight and understanding of how innovation drives growth, differentiation, and competitive advantage.

• Knowledge of emerging technologies, digital transformation, and innovation trends pertinent to clinical research and healthcare.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
