Ingeniero de Datos Bilingüe, Databricks – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Manage and optimize the AWS Databricks platform comprehensively, overseeing the configuration of clusters, workspaces, and computing resources to ensure optimal performance.

• Design and implement strict access controls based on the principle of least privilege.

• Define, structure, and manage user archetypes (personas) for data engineers, data scientists, and analysts.

• Collaborate closely with enterprise architects and engineers.

• Continuously monitor the availability, performance, and costs of resources.

• Develop automation scripts for rollback mechanisms and disaster recovery.

• Define and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields within Technology.

• Between 7 and 10 years of demonstrable experience serving as a Databricks Administrator or in similar roles managing large-scale data platforms.

• Proficient in English at B2+ or C1 level.

• Advanced administration of the Databricks platform and management of workspaces.

• Familiarity with AWS services (IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue).

• Access management, RBAC policies, AD groups, and user provisioning.

• Multi-tenant deployment strategies (Silver, Bronze, Gold layers in Dev/Test/UAT/Prod).

• Programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Spark for automation and troubleshooting.

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD practices (DevOps).

• API integration and Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication technologies.
