Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Create scalable systems and develop intricate, end-to-end ETL pipelines to transfer data from multiple sources to data warehouses.

• Uphold rigorous data quality standards while ensuring that system designs comply with security requirements.

• Guide junior engineers and convert complex business needs into technical solutions.

• Oversee and resolve issues within data pipelines and databases to enhance processing speed, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Confirm that the Data Products delivered align with the vision and objectives of Data Consumers.

• Implement and maintain best practices for technical documentation, encompassing architecture, transformation logic, and coding standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer, specifically working with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, ELT/ETL, and Data Pipelines.

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Advanced skills in SQL and Python.

• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.

• Experience with BigQuery or Redshift.

• Competence with Apache Airflow and dbt (data build tool).

• Must be located in the US, specifically in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

• Fluent in English.

• Nice-to-have: Over 15 years of experience as a Data Engineer with direct involvement in Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, ELT/ETL, and Data Pipelines.

• Nice-to-have: A Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Nice-to-have: Experience in optimizing Data Pipelines.

• Nice-to-have: Previous experience in the Pharma industry.

• Nice-to-have: Proficiency with BI Tools, like Tableau.
