This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.
• Design, implement, and manage cloud and infrastructure security measures in Azure-first environments, with additional coverage in AWS.
• Establish and maintain security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities using SIEM, cloud-native tools, and endpoint/network telemetry.
• Engage in security incident response activities, which include investigation, containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and platform teams to securely design and deploy SaaS and on-premises solutions, focusing on infrastructure hardening and secure configurations.
• Develop, adjust, and maintain security alerts and detections to enhance signal quality and minimize noise.
• Assist with vulnerability management activities, such as infrastructure scanning, risk triage, remediation tracking, and validation.
• Collaborate with compliance and GRC functions to meet SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, 27017, and 27018 requirements through effective technical controls and evidence generation.
• Implement and manage identity, access, and secrets management for cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Contribute to the definition and ongoing improvement of security runbooks, operational procedures, and response playbooks.
• Assess, implement, and support security tools related to cloud security posture management, logging, endpoint protection, and threat detection.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, attacker techniques, and trends in cloud security, applying this knowledge to enhance defenses.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior security engineers as necessary, without direct people-management responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6–8+ years of experience in information security, security engineering, or cloud/infrastructure security positions.
• Practical experience in securing Azure cloud environments, including networking, identity management, logging, and workload protection.
• Familiarity with security monitoring, detection, and response, including SIEM platforms, log analysis, and incident investigation.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure security principles, including network segmentation, hardening, patching, and secure configurations.
• Working knowledge of AWS security concepts and controls.
• Experience in supporting regulated environments and audits (SOC, ISO, or similar).
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments, with exposure to scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating security risks into actionable remediation steps.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, IT, and compliance stakeholders.
