Information Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Engage in threat modeling activities alongside members of the engineering team.

• Assess SCA/SAST/DAST/CSPM findings by dismissing false positives and delivering thoroughly evaluated vulnerabilities to engineering teams.

• Assist in managing vulnerabilities for networks and infrastructure.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure prompt resolution of security issues.

• Conduct security evaluations, reviews, and internal penetration testing.

• Contribute to application security programs and initiatives of the security team.

• Create scripts and tools to streamline repetitive security tasks, such as log analysis, patch management, and incident detection.

• Develop custom solutions to integrate security tools with existing systems using programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or Go.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in application security, encompassing any combination of the following: threat modeling, secure design reviews, code reviews, and penetration testing.

• Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of business principles.

• Proficiency in coding and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, etc.).

• Experience in web application penetration testing (e.g., Capture The Flags, Bug Bounty programs, etc.).

• Knowledge and experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) security and engineering.

• Familiarity with developing or testing web application technologies.

• Preferred security certifications (OSCP, OSWP, eCPPT, eWPT, Security+, etc.).

• Experience with Linux, Docker, Terraform, and programming against REST APIs.
