Information Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Morocco.

📋 Description

• Mindera collaborates with a diverse range of clients worldwide to foster innovation and tackle complex technical challenges. Our security team ensures that Mindera adheres to security standards such as UK Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001, safeguarding all Minders from potential threats.

• We are in search of a mid-level Information Security Analyst who can operate across all our locations.

• In this role, you will assist the team in monitoring Mindera's infrastructure, managing vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, and providing advice and support to Minders.

• You will also have the chance to enhance our procedures and research and implement solutions to continuously bolster Mindera’s security posture.

• Please note: this position primarily requires working within European time zones, necessitating a substantial overlap with team hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: You possess a solid foundation in your field and are eager to expand your knowledge. You have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in two or more relevant areas.

• Technical Skills:

• - XDR Threat Detection/Response: You are proficient with XDR platforms like Palo Alto and CrowdStrike, capable of confidently investigating security events. You understand how to build and fine-tune detection rules, knowing the specific risks they address and their implications for the incident response process.

• - Vulnerability Management: You have practical experience with tools such as Tenable and Qualys. You know how to generate scans and reports, query data, and audit the platform itself. Familiarity with using APIs for automation and vulnerability management processes is a plus.

• - Scripting and Automation: You prefer to avoid repetitive manual tasks and can write effective scripts to address problems using languages like Python or Bash.

• - Change management: You understand how to test, validate, deploy, and revert changes safely and securely.

• - Operating Systems: You possess strong knowledge of Linux and macOS, along with practical insights into Windows functionality.

• - Cloud and On-prem Infrastructure: You are acquainted with networking concepts and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and have a keen interest in learning and applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

• - Security Frameworks: You have a foundational understanding of the concepts outlined by frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and CIS, as well as their practical applications.

• Communication Skills: You are an effective communicator and are not hesitant to seek clarification. English is the primary language used at Mindera, so you will frequently engage in both spoken and written communication.

• Interpersonal skills: You are adept at interacting with individuals from various backgrounds and skill sets and providing them with effective support.

• Growth Mindset: You are capable of working independently and proactively within a distributed and dynamic organization. You are determined to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively.
