This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Address customer security-related inquiries regarding physical access, firewalls, content filters, email security appliances, spam filters, virus protection, and asset tracking and protection.
• Recognize security vulnerabilities and formulate mitigation strategies.
• Oversee and evaluate firewall rules.
• Conduct IEM log assessments.
• Manage, develop, and sustain threat and vulnerability management initiatives.
• Diagnose, resolve, prioritize, evaluate, and escalate IT security challenges.
• Provide prompt follow-up support and document solutions in the knowledge base.
• Engage in security-related projects and compliance audits.
• Review and refresh security policies and procedures.
• Foster security awareness and build customer trust.
• Collaborate on the planning, design, implementation, documentation, and deployment of security projects, tools, and applications.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for security tools and applications.
• Produce documentation for security tools, applications, and procedures.
• Attend vendor meetings and may require occasional travel, including visits to data centers.
• Uphold confidentiality and carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• A minimum of five years of experience in IT.
• At least two years of experience in IT security.
• Preferred experience with industry audit standards and security frameworks.
• Solid technical understanding of security concepts, practices, and analysis.
• Knowledgeable in system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security.
• Minimum certifications such as Security+, GIAC, EC-Council, or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% of the time, including some international travel.
• Familiarity with Check Point, Palo Alto, or Cisco firewalls.
• Familiarity with Cisco IronPort, Trend Micro antivirus, threat and vulnerability management, two-factor authentication, access control systems, SIEM products, VMware products, asset management and tracking, and SIE.
• Advanced computer troubleshooting, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to learn multiple programs and systems.
