This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.
• Act as the primary subject matter expert for the Workday Security strategy, design, configuration, role and group assignments, and support.
• Manage and sustain the Workday security configuration, encompassing domain and business process security policies, security roles and groups, segmented security, integration security, and associated framework components.
• Oversee the design and maintenance of a scalable security model while safeguarding confidential and sensitive information.
• Review security modifications, evaluate risks, and identify design solutions that comply with governance and segregation-of-duties requirements.
• Set up and uphold security measures for new Workday functionalities, organizational shifts, acquisitions, process enhancements, and business improvements.
• Collaborate with HR, HR Operations, IT, and Workday teams to create compliant security designs.
• Offer insights on least-privilege access, role design, approval frameworks, and best practices for Workday security.
• Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of security-related challenges, access issues, process breakdowns, role conflicts, and permission discrepancies.
• Evaluate the security impacts of Workday feature releases, manage testing, document updates, and apply approved alterations.
• Conduct security assessments for Workday projects, enhancements, and production modifications.
• Assist with audits, compliance, and internal control initiatives; maintain documentation, execute SOD audits, provide evidence, and address remediation tasks.
• Oversee and enhance Workday Security governance, intake, approvals, testing, migration, audits, and access validation.
• Identify chances to enhance security consistency, streamline role design, diminish manual access support, and bolster controls.
• Mentor analysts and cross-functional partners, assess design decisions, and advocate for best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree with over 7 years of experience in Human Capital Management systems, including Workday Security configuration, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of such experience.
• Practical experience with Workday Security configuration in a complex business setting.
• Workday PRO Security certification is desirable.
• Experience in a principal, lead, or senior analyst position supporting Workday Security is preferred.
• Expertise in supporting security across various Workday modules is a plus.
• Familiarity with security implications of integrations, single sign-on, or identity and access management processes is preferred.
• Background in supporting audit requests, control testing, remediation planning, and security certifications is advantageous.
• Knowledge of privacy, compliance, and data protection regulations in a regulated environment is preferred.
• Experience in large, matrixed, or global organizations is beneficial.
• Experience in establishing Workday security standards, governance processes, or operating models is preferred.
• Experience in mentoring analysts or leading cross-functional workstreams is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of Workday domain security policies, business process security policies, security groups, role assignments, and access design.
• Proven experience in leading security design decisions and configuring secure, scalable solutions across Workday modules.
• Background in supporting security governance, risk assessment, segregation of duties, and compliance-related controls.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex Workday Security issues and resolving access-related production challenges.
• Involvement in testing, Workday release activities, and security-related change implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
• For degrees obtained outside the United States, a qualification satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is necessary.
