Information Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct security monitoring and analysis of alerts, logs, and events to identify, investigate, and escalate potential threats, anomalies, and violations of policy.

• Execute initial evaluations and triage of security alerts, phishing reports, suspicious activities, and endpoint security events, forwarding alerts that necessitate more in-depth investigation to the Information Security Specialists.

• Organize security incident response efforts by collecting relevant information, documenting findings, tracking actions, and collaborating with appropriate teams.

• Monitor security findings from scans, audits, and assessments, ensuring prompt remediation and transparent status reporting.

• Review and address security-related service requests following established procedures, escalating complex issues to senior team members as necessary.

• Maintain precise documentation for security tickets, incidents, procedures, playbooks, and recurring operational tasks.

• Assist with security awareness initiatives by tracking reported issues, recurring user concerns, phishing trends, and prevalent security gaps.

• Aid in the preparation of security reports, summaries, metrics, and status updates for the Information Security Team's review.

• Perform similar tasks as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• 1-2 years of practical experience in Information Security operations or a comparable technical security role.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including phishing, malware, endpoint security, access control, vulnerabilities, incident response, and risk management.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint management, ticketing systems, and security tools is a plus.

• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft AZ-900, or similar certifications are desirable but not mandatory.

• Must possess a positive attitude and deliver high-quality work output.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
