Independent Medical Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough and objective reviews of medical charts, maintaining honesty and integrity.

• Generate determinations that are clear, concise, and well-supported by evidence.

• Adhere to MMRO’s review templates, ensuring all required components are complete and accurate.

• Present findings professionally, utilizing appropriate language and grammar.

• Complete assigned reviews within established deadlines.

• Respond swiftly to communications from MMRO staff.

• Review and adhere to corporate training materials and review standards.

• Be open to constructive feedback from MMRO’s Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, and Clinical Staff.

• Provide suggestions for process improvement and quality enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A current, non-restricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state or territory, specifically a CALIFORNIA medical state license.

• Certification maintained by a board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

• At least five (5) years of full-time equivalent experience (37.5–40 hours per week) in providing direct clinical care to patients.

• Current clinical experience within the last three (3) years.
