Independent Freight Broker/Agent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, overseeing and coordinating all facets of freight transportation.

• Build and nurture relationships with clients and carriers to ensure the smooth movement of freight.

• Leverage our advanced Transportation Management System (TMS), McLeod PowerBroker, to enhance operations and guarantee precise tracking and reporting of shipments.

• Negotiate favorable rates with carriers to ensure the timely and cost-efficient transportation of freight.

• Collaborate with our skilled team to identify and pursue new business development opportunities.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to provide knowledgeable and informed service to clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a portable book of business with actively shipping customers, achieving a minimum monthly gross profit of $35,000, along with established client and carrier relationships.

• Demonstrated experience of 2 or more years as an Independent Freight Agent or Broker.

• Strong skills in negotiation and communication.

• Proficient in the use of transportation management systems and technology.

• Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
