This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Puerto Rico.
• Articulate immigration concepts and deliver strategic solutions.
• Advocate for both non-detained and detained individuals during removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Oversee a diverse caseload effectively.
• Conduct intake visits with detained individuals at various centers.
• Draft a wide range of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
• Evaluate immigration applications/packets and implement necessary modifications.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on updates in immigration law.
• Meet potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and devise appropriate strategies.
• Formulate strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimonies.
• Offer legal analysis to clients to identify potential case advantages.
• Draft and file legal briefs for various immigration cases.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• A collaborative team member who is willing to assist, strategize, and work alongside fellow associates.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not mandatory.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of advancing legal cases and managing a caseload effectively.
• Familiarity with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Experience with Case Management Software is advantageous.
