This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restocking in various areas including remote camps, industrial facilities, food service locations, offices, laundries, clinics, living quarters, workplaces, common areas, restrooms, and public spaces.
• Carry out floor maintenance activities including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, extracting, waxing, buffing, and vacuuming all floor types.
• Dust areas both low and high, and clean a variety of surfaces.
• Utilize the correct equipment and cleaning solutions for each task.
• Remove, compact, transport, and dispose of trash and other discarded materials in an appropriate manner.
• Change light bulbs and conduct light facility maintenance tasks.
• Ensure building entryways are clear of snow and debris.
• Operate a vehicle to reach remote locations when necessary.
• Execute special laundry duties and adhere to scheduled cleaning tasks.
• Alert the supervisor when safety and sanitation standards are not upheld.
• Undertake additional responsibilities important for the department or unit’s success.
• Work in a remote camp environment without supervisory roles.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience demonstrating knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning processes.
• At least one year of experience in commercial housekeeping is necessary.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment requirements, which may include a drug test, physical and fit-for-duty assessment, and hearing test.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a team member with employees, customers, and clients.
• Must be capable of making quick decisions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain on feet for 12 hours during each shift for the scheduled rotation.
• Must be comfortable living in dormitory-style accommodations and adhere to remote camp cleanliness standards.
• Proficiency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing in English is required.
• Must comply with company and client safety guidelines and regulations.
• Willingness to travel by plane and/or bus to remote camps is necessary.
• Must meet physical fit-for-duty requirements, including the ability to lift up to 35 lbs., carry 25 lbs. for a distance of at least 50 feet, climb stairs and a slanted ladder, kneel, squat, stoop, and twist.
• Frequent exposure to arctic conditions with both indoor and outdoor work.
• Potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Noise levels may vary from moderate to loud.
