This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Act as the hospital sales specialist within a designated territory in Columbia, SC.
• Achieve sales targets for Chiesi USA’s CARE hospital products.
• Engage with targeted customers to promote or sell products using authorized methods.
• Meet and surpass quarterly and yearly sales objectives.
• Facilitate in-services and clinical discussions with physicians, pharmacists, and hospital personnel.
• Navigate through hospital formulary processes.
• Execute territory business plans that align with regional and national objectives.
• Build and sustain relationships with medical centers, pharmacies, physicians, medical staff, and others.
• Cultivate influential customers to act as local advocates and champions.
• Schedule and lead impactful meetings with targeted customers and peers.
• Implement special initiatives such as speaker bureau programs, symposia, and convention displays.
• Enhance sales and retention strategies to maximize business results.
• Collaborate with internal Chiesi teams to address customer needs and facilitate the selling process.
• Create, update, and adhere to territory business plans.
• Generate reports and presentations for management review.
• Present monthly sales reports while identifying trends, opportunities, and challenges.
• Attain proficiency with products and sales tools.
• Manage the territory budget in accordance with company policies.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from management and customers.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry sales.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and public speaking abilities.
• Proven track record in organizational and territory management capabilities.
• Strong skills in relationship-building.
• Proficiency in presenting scientific data using visual aids, clinical reprints, and technical information.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Successful completion of new hire training and ability to pass product knowledge assessments.
• Capability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities with little supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and hospital credentialing processes.
• Ability to acquire and maintain essential hospital credentials.
• Successful completion of a drug test, including screening for marijuana.
• Must reside in the area of the assigned Columbia, SC territory.
• Experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales is preferred.
