This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Respond to incoming patient scheduling calls while adhering to departmental service level objectives and address their inquiries satisfactorily.
• Effectively communicate with patients to accurately schedule, reschedule, or cancel their primary care provider appointment requests by following established scheduling protocols and tools.
• Collect and enter all necessary patient demographic and insurance information with precision.
• Employ professional communication etiquette and active listening skills to assist patients with their scheduling requirements.
• Foster a safe and trustworthy environment for patients by utilizing both scripted and unscripted communication techniques.
• De-escalate issues involving dissatisfied customers, providing patient assistance and support while escalating any arising problems to management.
• Navigate and utilize multiple software systems using dual monitors effectively.
• Maintain accurate and current information within the documentation system.
• Ensure confidentiality of account information and deliver exceptional customer service to all clients.
• Support other projects as assigned by management.
• Education: High School Diploma/GED is required. An Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of related experience in a medical setting, or one year of prior healthcare call center or customer service experience, or three or more years of call center experience is needed. Basic healthcare knowledge is required.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn specialized computer applications.
• Professional and articulate communication style with the ability to multitask across several computer applications while conversing with a client.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry is essential. Flexibility to swiftly adapt to new business environments is required. Must be able to work effectively in a remote team setting.
• Must reside in the United States.
• Preferred Skills: Ability to type at least 25 WPM.
• Technology requirements: Internet download speed of 100mbps and upload speed of 20mbps.
