Homeowners Insurance Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to Abode Money in launching its insurance agency.

• Assist with entity establishment, DRLP arrangements, and the coordination of multi-state licensing.

• Suggest suitable aggregators and carriers, and offer advice on managing carrier appointment rejections.

• Assess and guide decisions regarding the agency management system, comparative rater, and data sources.

• Facilitate the transition from affiliate-based economics to owning the insurance portfolio.

• Develop the operational model, encompassing volume servicing, staffing ratios, and retention goals.

• Set compliance parameters prior to securing carrier appointments.

• Rigorously evaluate business plans, assumptions, and strategic decisions.

• Deliver prompt and straightforward guidance on significant agency matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current or recent Property & Casualty license.

• Experience in holding or supporting agency licensure across various states.

• Direct experience in establishing or managing an independent agency.

• Familiarity with carrier appointments and a relationship with an aggregator or cluster.

• Practical experience in selecting and implementing an agency management system.

• Hands-on experience with the selection and implementation of a comparative rater.

• Recent operational experience that reflects current practices of carriers and aggregators.

• Written disclosure of any compensation received from aggregators, carriers, AMS vendors, or data providers.

• Availability for around 10 hours per week / 40 hours per month.

• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance agency operations at an expert level.
