This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for high school mathematics students.
• Customize learning and adapt instruction based on individual student mastery.
• Enhance course materials using authorized synchronous and asynchronous tools under the guidance of the principal and coach.
• Manage the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion, and notify administrators of any performance issues.
• Prepare students for important standardized assessments.
• Build positive relationships with families and communicate effectively with students, parents, and learning coaches.
• Assist parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting needs.
• Track student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Travel as necessary, averaging once a month or about 20% of the time, for professional development, student assessments, and school events.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to analyze student data and utilize it to inform instructional strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active Oklahoma High School Math Teaching Certification.
• Valid state teaching license.
• Must be a resident of Oklahoma.
• Ability to pass the required background check.
• Capacity to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during standard work hours, typically from 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM.
• Experience working with the target age group is preferred.
• Experience assisting adults and children with technology is preferred.
• Experience teaching in an online setting or in a traditional classroom is preferred.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms is preferred.
• Ability to interpret and generate numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Commitment to maintaining teacher certification and professional development hours.
• Knowledgeable in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
• Primarily work from home.
