Heavy Equipment, Specialty Desk Appraiser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assess damage by reviewing photos, documentation, and other claim materials.

• Create comprehensive repair estimates utilizing industry-standard software that has been approved.

• Analyze decisions regarding repair versus replacement and ascertain the appropriate parts to be used.

• Determine if vehicles can be repaired or should be classified as salvage.

• Work in collaboration with repair facilities to process supplements and revise estimates accordingly.

• Negotiate the scope of repairs and pricing with the repair facilities.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

• Contribute to the organization's quality programs.

• Travel as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• Necessary licenses must be obtained.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience is required, including at least one (1) year of experience with heavy equipment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of operating heavy equipment is essential.

• Ability to comprehend and effectively use appraisal software.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentation skills.

• Competence in PC usage, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

• Strong analytical and interpretive abilities.

• Capability to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.

• Ability to meet or exceed established Performance Competencies.

• Capacity to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

• Ability to kneel, squat, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, and reach or work overhead.

• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, whether hot or cold.

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to push or pull weights up to 100 pounds.

• Capability to drive for up to 4 hours daily.

• Proficient hearing, vision, and verbal communication abilities.
