Health System Specialist – Mid, Change Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation and acceleration of VHA's organizational change management strategy for Electronic Health Record (EHR) adoption.

• Perform change-readiness assessments, stakeholder analyses, and impact analyses for modifications in workflow and systems.

• Create practical change deliverables, including communication plans, roadmaps, coaching plans, training plans, and plans for managing resistance.

• Leverage knowledge of VA databases and their interconnections to aid in the ongoing development and enhancement of the VA's informatics environment.

• Utilize project management tools and techniques to integrate change management activities into project plans while tracking and reporting any issues.

• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and provide transition support to ensure users comprehend workflow modifications and system updates.

• Establish and evaluate change-adoption success metrics while monitoring the progress of changes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree is required.

• At least 6 years of pertinent experience is necessary.

• Prosci certification along with experience in applying change management in a unionized setting.

• Experience in supporting EHR go-live adoption and PGL stabilization is essential.

• Familiarity with the VA/VHA organizational structure and the informatics environment.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a favorable VA background investigation at the Low Risk / NACI level, which includes electronic fingerprinting and e-QIP submission.

• Willingness to travel occasionally within the continental United States to VA Medical Centers (approximately 5-day site visits) to support EHR Go-Live and Post Go-Live activities.
