This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Provide support to the product team throughout the feature development lifecycle by leveraging extensive health insurance knowledge and operational insights.
• Convert comprehensive health insurance processes—such as underwriting, policy administration, claims, renewals, and billing—into clear product requirements and functional documentation.
• Assess and establish business rules, decision engines, and workflow logic to guarantee that all outputs are precise, compliant, and applicable in practical situations.
• Actively engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm functionality, workflows, and business logic.
• Design for optimal Straight-Through Processing (STP) across product workflows to minimize manual intervention through intelligent system architecture.
• Define automation protocols, decision-making frameworks, and exception handling processes that reflect real-world insurance operations.
• Ensure the product mirrors actual business practices, integrating efficiency and scalability directly into the system.
• Convert regulatory and policy requirements into system logic and product features.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to uncover feature gaps, best practices, and emerging trends in global health insurance.
• Serve as a liaison between Product, Engineering, and Business teams—transforming business requirements into product specifications for technical execution.
• Participate in product roadmap discussions and prioritization from a health insurance viewpoint.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and insurers, to collect feedback and validate product direction.
• Provide support for GTM, sales, and pre-sales initiatives by applying deep functional expertise as needed.
• Over 12 years of experience in the insurance sector.
• A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in health insurance.
• Background in at least two health insurance functions: product setup, underwriting, pricing, policy administration, endorsements, billing, claims, or renewals.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, technology, and business teams in a dynamic environment.
• Hands-on, results-driven, and enthusiastic about transforming domain expertise into tangible product features.
• Systems-oriented thinker with a natural ability to comprehend how processes interconnect, identify where automation can replace manual tasks, and understand how rules convert into logical frameworks.
• Critical, analytical, and innovative—capable of identifying gaps that others may overlook and proposing actionable solutions instead of mere observations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills—able to clarify complex insurance concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven client-facing ability to manage client and stakeholder relationships confidently, even without formal sales experience.
• Nice-to-have (additional advantages):
• Familiarity with other lines of business such as life and/or P&C insurance.
• Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate in Insurance or equivalent.
• Technology-savvy—experience with digital transformation projects or exposure to insurance systems. Insurtech experience as a Subject Matter Expert/Consultant is a significant advantage.
