This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Accurately and efficiently process medical record requests for the release of information.
• Receive and handle requests for patient health information in accordance with Company and Facility policies and procedures.
• Uphold the confidentiality and security of privileged information.
• Implement medical privacy regulations and protect against unauthorized disclosures.
• Manage patient health records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare new patient charts utilizing both paper sources and electronic health records.
• Organize medical records in standard order, ensuring that they are accurate and complete.
• Generate digital images of documents for storage within electronic medical records.
• Retrieve and transmit patient records to internal and external requestors as appropriate.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, providing updates on medical record status.
• Document information across multiple platforms while utilizing two computer monitors.
• Assist with patient walk-ins, faxes, mail handling, data entry, and scheduling pickups as necessary.
• Notify the manager of work-related issues, site challenges, and changes in volume.
• Meet specific productivity expectations for the site and undertake additional assigned tasks.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must possess the ability to commute between locations as necessary.
• Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons when needed.
• Basic computer skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machines, printers, and other general office equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
• Excellent data entry capabilities.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused approach to managing accurate and compliant medical records.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
• Capacity to organize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must meet productivity standards.

• Bonus: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, production/metric-driven work, or in-person customer service is advantageous.
