This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Process all requests for the release of information (ROI), particularly medical record inquiries, promptly and efficiently.
• Protect patient confidentiality and guarantee authorized access to medical data in accordance with company policy and HIPAA standards.
• Receive and handle requests for patient health information in line with company and facility regulations.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of company and facility software.
• Comply with company and customer facility codes of conduct and policies.
• Notify the manager of any work-related challenges, site issues, and varying workloads.
• Oversee, secure, compile, and maintain precise and complete patient health records.
• Prepare new patient charts using both paper documents and/or electronic health records.
• Generate digital images of documents for electronic medical records.
• Retrieve and properly transmit patient records to both internal and external requestors.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls.
• Provide assistance to patients who walk in as necessary.
• Support with faxes, mail, and data entry tasks.
• Meet the productivity standards set for the site.
• Schedule pickups as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to travel between locations as necessary.
• Willingness to work overtime during busy seasons when needed.
• Basic proficiency in computer use.
• Comfortable operating phones, fax machines, printers, and other common office equipment regularly.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Detail-oriented and focused on maintaining accurate and compliant medical record information.
• Strong data entry capabilities.
• Ability to work independently while adapting to shifting priorities and role requirements.
• Proficient in organizing and managing multiple tasks.
• Capable of responding to requests in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.
• Previous experience in production/metric-based roles is advantageous.
• In-person customer service experience is beneficial.
• Ability to establish relationships with on-site clients and customers is a plus.
• Willingness to share new ideas, process improvement suggestions, and feedback with internal stakeholders is a bonus.

• May be required to undergo post-offer health screenings and provide or complete vaccinations such as flu, Tdap, and COVID-19, subject to client requirements.
