Health Advocate – Inbound/Outbound Calls, Healthy Outcomes Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct both inbound and outbound calls to members and providers concerning healthcare visits, screenings, vaccinations, and medication refills.

• Navigate through barriers that may impact members’ health.

• Provide a professional and compassionate experience for members.

• Educate members to help them make healthy choices and enhance health outcomes.

• Clarify benefits associated with specific screenings and medications.

• Assist members with accessing health services, medications, and resources to improve Star health outcomes.

• Accurately record conversations in members’ health records.

• Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate matters when necessary.

• Achieve business metrics and objectives while operating efficiently in a dynamic environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D.

• Excellent professional communication skills.

• Strong active listening abilities and interpersonal skills.

• High level of computer literacy, including the ability to troubleshoot issues.

• Proficient in Windows and web-based applications, as well as digital communication tools.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection of at least 50 Mbps.

• Appropriate remote workspace for effective job performance.

• Hard-wired computer connection required; DSL, satellite, and wireless broadband are not allowed.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a call center or outreach role involving members/consumers.

• Bilingual or multilingual candidates are strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with HEDIS screening measures is preferred.

• Experience with behavior change initiatives is preferred.

• Over 1 year of experience meeting production expectations or handling high-volume calls is strongly preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

• Medical certification is preferred.
