Health Advocate – Inbound/Outbound Calls

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Conduct both inbound and outbound calls to members and providers to facilitate healthcare visits, screenings, vaccinations, and medication refills.

• Navigate obstacles that hinder members’ health and well-being.

• Provide an exceptional member experience through professional and empathetic communication.

• Educate members to empower them in making informed health decisions.

• Accurately record conversations in members’ health records.

• Clarify benefits associated with specific screenings and medications.

• Support members with essential health services, medications, and resources to enhance Star health outcomes.

• Refer issues for resolution as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D.

• Professional communication abilities.

• Strong active listening and interpersonal skills.

• High level of computer literacy, including troubleshooting capabilities.

• Proficiency in Windows, web-based applications, and digital communication tools.

• A dependable high-speed internet connection of at least 50 Mbps.

• A suitable workspace for remote work.

• Hard-wired computer connectivity is required; DSL, satellite, and wireless broadband are not acceptable.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a call center or outreach roles involving members/consumers.

• Bilingual or multilingual candidates are highly preferred.

• Experience with HEDIS screening measures is preferred.

• Familiarity with behavior change techniques is preferred.

• At least 1 year of experience meeting production expectations or handling high-volume calls is strongly preferred.

• Over 3 years of experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

• Medical certification is preferred.
